Bioshock 2 is a first person shooter and follow up to the critically acclaimed 2007 game “Bioshock”. Published by 2K Games for PS3, Xbox 360 and Windows. Digital Extremes developed the multiplayer portion of the project.
I was sole VFX Artist on the game. Working alongside the Art Director and 2K Marin, I was responsible for bringing high level effects to the game. New effects were required for the game's multiplayer levels and also multiplayer weapons and plasmids. Not only was it my job to create new effects, but also to optimise effects from the original Bioshock for use in multiplayer. As an extra part, I also did the initial design and layout for the “Kashmir Restaurant” level.
Effects were authored in Photoshop, After Effects, Maya and Unreal Engine
